I asked a Korean and Vietnamese coworker which Vietnamese place I should take my very inexperienced-with-asian-food boyfriend for his first Vietnamese experience and received 2 conflicting answers... I decided to go with the Vietnamese suggestion, figuring he might know a little more. This is how I stumbled upon Tasty Pho. My meal here was just about perfect. I have nothing negative to say about Tasty Pho. The resaurant was very clean, we were greeted immediately by friendly faces and the decor is just right. My meal was really good, but the service is what made my experience 5 stars. Our server made suggestions that were perfect. We had the egg rolls and spring rolls with just pork, hold the shrimp, and he brought us 2 different sauces saying we would like having both as an option. Our drinks were never empty, he checked on us just enough, and was very friendly. He was one of the best waiters I've ever had. I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (rice noodle salad with grilled pork, egg rolls, add egg) and couldn't be more pleased. The pork was soooo good, everything in the bowl tasted fresh and the portion was large. The boyfriend ordered a chicken and broken rice dish (his first Vietnamese experience, baby steps) and enjoyed it. His chicken was really moist and had just the right amount of sauce on it. He enjoyed it so much he asked if we can come back this weekend. (YAY more people to eat Asian food with me!) I also ordered the matcha green tea boba (without the boba balls, I still can't get into them) which was good. Its not as sweet as it has been at other places I've been to, which was ok. You get more of the actual tea flavor that way. Our check was $38 for 2 entrees, 2 apps, 2 beers and a boba tea (a steal if you ask me). I'm so happy I found a new Vietnamese place so close to work, and can't wait to explore the menu!

With all of the positive reviews, we had to give this place a try. This restaurant is located in the same strip center that the marvelous MD Oriental Market is located on 49th St. N, just north of Park Blvd. west of the Pinellas Square Mall. We were quickly greeted and seated. Luckily, we had arrived just before the restaurant filled to capacity. We were a bit overwhelmed with the size of the menu. Through a little help from Yelp, I had decided which appetizers I wanted to order while we were mulling over the menu. We ordered the Spring Rolls ($3.50) and the Mini Shrimp Pancakes ($6.95). The spring rolls were ok but not the best the area has to offer. The mini pancakes were something that I had never tried before and I loved them! Essentially, they are little omelettes with diced shrimp that are cooked at a high temperature that crisps them up and makes them easy to dip into the sauce provided. (see pic) For entrées, we had asked our waiter for advise but he was new on the job so we were on our own. We opted for the Combo Rice (Com Tam Thap Cam $9.95) and the Quâng Style Noodle Soup - Mi Quâng ($7.95). The Combo Rice is a broken rice dish that came with delicious grilled pork, meatloaf, a cold vermicelli salad, house salad, chicken broth and a fried egg along with a big scoop of the broken rice. (see pic) Don't be dissuaded by the mention of meatloaf because it was unique and very tasty. It had more of a paté texture. It was a ton of food and awesome. The soup was delicious. Lots of wide rice noodles, pork ribs and shrimp. The broth was the star of the show. Every little drop of it was consumed. The service was a bit slow due to the crowd size. But now we know what all the fuss is about. We will definitely return!

I have eaten many different pho dishes in my life time and had dated and lived with Vietnamese man and know what true Vietnamese food is like. Having home cooked viet good makes it hard for me to like take out. This place is very clean and very clean. I loved the pho and love the fact that you can get a baby pho which is a small portion of the pho. I loved the entrée as well as they use real meat not the fake stuff

We loved absolutely every aspect of our lunch here at Tasty Pho. -Great service - check -Clean and comfortable environment - check -Great food -check -Decently priced - check We are by no means Pho experts. As a matter of fact, this was only our third time having it. However, this was the best tasting Pho we have tried by a landslide. I ordered the Tasty Pho (minus the tripe and tendon) and my Husband ordered the Rare Beef Noodle. We both ordered the regular size and it was a good thing that we did because we were stuffed afterwards. I want to make a quick note about the service. It was amazing. We actually had three separate waiters check on us in the beginning to see if we were ready to order. I asked the young gentleman that ended up being our server for recommendations. He asked questions about what I like and made a great suggestion that I was already considering. When he learned I liked spicy food, he brought out extra jalapenos for me. He also kept checking back with us. Great service! The broth itself had a great flavor, but the chili oil that they make in house and serve along side it is amazing. We loved it so much that they brought out a second set of it. They also serve lime, sage, jalapenos and bean sprouts on the side. You can add Sriracha or Hoisin to taste. I prefer mine spicier with Sriracha, Jalapenos and the Chili oil. So, so good. I didn't love the meatballs in my Pho. I have a hard time with the rubbery texture of the Vietnamese style meatballs. However, the rest of the meat was very good. I thought there was an appropriate amount of meat and noodles. My Husband wished he had a little more meat. The flavors were spot on. I also ordered a Blueberry Boba tea smoothie which was delicious. I typically order Taro, but changed it up hoping my Husband would drink half. He didn't, but I was really happy with the flavor. At the end of our meal, I had tears in my eyes (if you are a spice fiend like me, you know this is a good sign) and we were both full and very, very happy. Our total was only $20. We will definitely be returning soon.

I loved the ambient here! Beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling, wine displaying in the case on the wall, soft French song played on the background, it was pretty romantic for a Vietnamese restaurant. For the sport fan, almost every angle you stand or sit , you can watch a game from the TV on the wall. The seats were comfortable and the space between tables was just right that you can keep privacy. The food and drink were fantastic, too. We had a pho. Big enough for 2 people and it was tasty. The grill shrimp sub we found in the menu was unusual. So we ordered one to try. The bun was crunchy but not chewy. The veget was fresh and couple big shrimps grill with the black pepper was fresh and flavorful. The taro boba drink was delicious, too. The pricing was very reasonable. The service was excellent. The Pinellas Park residents are very lucky to have this place in their neighborhood!

This place was a really nice spot with great service! I got the pho meatball and though the serving for the meatballs was small, the broth was delicious! The servers were great and very friendly which was a super plus so the whole experience there was wonderful. Would definitely come back to this place when we are in the St. Pete and Clearwater area since it's right next to the big MD oriental market that we always shop at. Recommend this place!

I now crave pho on a weekly basis from here! The restaurant is very new and bright. Service was attentive and efficient. The servings are huge for the pho, and come with all of the fresh, crisp garnishes. Delicious and we left with plenty of leftover soup and full bellies. Can't wait to return.

We used to frequent Pho Quyen down the road, but after finding multiple hairs in one dish there, we started going here. This restaurant is much cleaner and more modern than many Vietnamese places. The servers are nice enough, but nothing special. I always order either a Vietnamese iced coffee or a boba. They are both delicious here, I highly suggest ordering them. For an appetizer we frequently order spring rolls. They are delicious dipped in (non-traditional) soy sauce, but they are served with a good peanutty sauce. All of this restaurant's soups are very good, but they are noticeably sweeter than many other restaurants pho. The udon is some of the best I've had, but my favorite dish here is the vermicelli noodle bowl. Its warm noodles, cool vegetables and grilled meat. Simply delicious. If you're looking for some delicious Vietnamese food in a restaurant that doesn't look like its been closed by the food inspector five times in the last month, this is the place to go.

Smooth, creamy, icey, and slightly chewy with a simple sweet rolling across your tongue satisfying your thirst and a sigh escapes...oh....hello...I didn't see you there. Let me set my Taro boba tea down to talk about this phenomenal location that will wrap its comfort arms around you and whet your tastebuds enough that you will come back...over and over! 1. They do takeout orders. Yes, after a long day you can place an order for a small Taro tea with boba pearls, a #9 Pho, and a #5 the small house salad and it will be ready in 10-20 minutes. Perfect! 2. I've been to quite a few Vietnamese places, and this is my favorite. I crave this place and have to get my fill. It sucks you in and you can't get it out of your head. It will comfort you after a long day and clear your sinuses if you're not feeling well. 3. The restaurant is neat and mostly quiet. When busy, it's still not too bad. 4. The wait staff has always been friendly when I dine in or take out. My food arrives promptly too. 5. I have never had an order messed up in all the 7 times I've been since I first found them. 6. They will customize the order if you need. ie...no peanuts on the #5 or no rice cakes. 7. The #9 Pho is to die for. It is hot, the meat well cooked by the broth, the broth is tasty with such delicious flavors. 8. Boba...yes, I love the tapioca pearls and always get the Taro. OMG! I ALWAYS get one and will crave it enough to get take out again. 9. The #5 salad is scrumptious! The dressing is the best I've had and mix that with the house salad that has simple veggies, bacon pieces, shrimp and more...fantastic. Every fan of Boba or Pho should try this location. Your tastebuds will thank you.

I'll start this off by saying that the food here is delicious. I ordered the spring roll with shrimp and pork , the bbq pork sandwich, and chicken vermicelli salad. The chicken was especially good and had a sweet tangy sauce on it. I really enjoyed how there were plentiful fresh vegetables and herbs in the dishes. I would give this place a 4 if it weren't for a couple quibbles. once we had arrived, there were only 3 other tables seated and 2 of them were already eating and finishing up their meals. I was surprised that the appetizers and entrees did take a lot of time to arrive. Normally I don't mind if food takes extra time since I work in the restaurant business but my dad and brother both said that their egg rolls were lukewarm. They both also ordered boba smoothies but did not receive them until they were already almost done eating their entrees. In addition, I had to keep drinking my brother's water since mine stayed empty the vast majority of our time here. If you don't mind waiting and want a great Vietnamese restaurant to try, I certainly would suggest this. The cookies and cream boba smoothie was sinfully delicious. Just don't make an effort to come if you're on a crunch for time.

My wife had eaten here previously with friends and came home raving about it, so I figured why not stop in before shopping at MD on an empty stomach(which is dangerous). From the outside it doesn't look like much, but once you step inside it's different. The place is very clean, neat, and dare I say nice. They have a nice selection of beer, as I am a fan of most Asian brews. The menu is pretty large, but I chose the pho with rare beef. I thought about the large bowl, but once it arrived I was glad that I did not go through with it. The regular was big enough and very tasty. They bring out the usual cilantro, bean sprouts, lime, etc, which I like adding to the second half of the soup to get a different taste. The wife and child had bowls of noodles as well and loved it. These plus 2 sodas, and an ice coffee came to just over $30, which I consider money well spent. The food came out pretty quickly, and the staff is very courteous and not overbearing. We will more than likely be stopping here every time we come to MD, as there are several items I want to try from their menu, and everything here(so far) seems to be delicious..

I just was not a fan of their pho. I got pho with meatballs, brisket, and sliced beef and the broth was just too fatty for me, and the meat tasted bland. I felt really bad sending the pho back but I just couldn't eat it. :/ I switched it out for Udon with shrimp and pork, and was much happier with that. I wanted to like the pho here so bad since it's pretty close to me and the name "tasty pho" made me have high hopes. Maybe ill try it again to see if it was just a bad day. I was a fan of their shrimp summer rolls though, and the vietnamese coffee, and thai tea were delicious. Need to come back and try more things sometime. The staff was nice, and so was the interior of the place as well.

This place was amazing! We tried the spring rolls, pho, fried rice and boba tea. All was above average. Even with it 100 degrees outside I would come back for the pho. The flavors of everything was out of this world. The service was wonderful, the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. This is a hidden gem in a very dated shopping center. We will be back to try more items!

Tasty Pho offered a great experience, overall, and I'll definitely be back. I'm glad they open early as I'm always hungry way before lunch time and it's not busy around 10am. The service was great and even though I ended up ordering the wrong rolls, they made the ones I did want and took the others off the bill. This was even after I offered to pay for them since it was my mistake. The pho was great. It was a bit too oily for my liking, but that didn't interfere with the flavor profile. Every aspect of the soup was super fresh and the price was right on point. Solid joint and I'll be back soon.

The worst pho I've ever had in my life. husband had egg noodles that was extremely soggy and stuck together. if you are white or born and raised in Florida and never been to anywhere else you probably would love this place.

I know it's called Tasty Pho but my favourite thing on the menu is their Tasty Chef Salad. It's a huge chopped blend of herbs, cukes, lettuce, and carrots with sliced pork, shrimp, and other goodies surrounded by giant prawn crackers topped with a sweet and tangy dressing. Fills me up for all day and yet I don't feel like a complete land whale since it's mostly veg. The restaurant itself is really pretty and warm, with cute, charming servers and prompt service. Their take-out is quick but it's a really pleasant atmosphere to eat in, too. Definitely my favourite Vietnamese place in Pinellas Park!

Two servers checked up on my tables at different times today which shows me they are doing their job. 3-4pm Both smiling and courteous. I still recommend the pho =).

My family used to own a popular pho restaurant in san jose, so my review is not from a typical customer. With that said . . . The pho did not have the typical beef flavor most vietnamese people are accustomed to. It also lacked the taste of star anise or ginger. It was way too sweet for our taste, this overpowered whatever herbs that was in the pot. Also, the bean sprouts they brought out were brownish yellow, and lacked any ngo gai (culantro). The cha gio was pretty small too, and their portions were also small. Service was great though, which is a redeeming factor and reason for 3 stars instead of 2.

Just love this place. Been here 3 times over the summer, and every time I finish my bowl clean. I've had the Bun with chicken, the Pho with meatballs, and today I had the bun with pork and egg roll. The seasoning of the meats is DELICIOUS! And the broth of the pho is the best broth I've ever had. (And I've traveled Vietnam.) My only complaint is that as I try new things each time and love each meal, it will only make decision-making that much harder.

Sure, I've known about Tasty Pho for a while--- there are advertisements everywhere, and on almost every bus stop bench on Park Avenue. With a name like "Tasty Pho" and no Vietnamese customers to be seen in the dining room, I figured that the food must be Americanized. Also, the specific Yelper that recommended Tasty Pho to is not trustworthy when it comes to this style of cuisine. If you did not know that I am a food snob, shame on you for not noticing. Anyways, I had put off eating at Tasty Pho for long enough to try other places in the area. But then, I checked their photos... wait, they have Bánh Bèo, Bánh Kht, and a whole menu dedicated to creating your own Chè ?!?!? Just the Chè menu is enough to lure me in! The Tasty Salad, even in size small, is enough for me. I just like to order the Tasty Salad, Bánh Kht, and Chè for dessert. My favorite Chè is coconut, green bean, taro pudding, pandan jelly, with coconut milk and light ice--- So refreshing. The quality of the ingredients rivals even the best businesses that just sell it as their namesake. While I am still a little conflicted by the additional amounts of sugar dumped into not only their Pho broth, but also the house fish sauce--- the food is damn delicious. Maybe I like the battle of sugar and salt that is taking place, or maybe just because I am undoubtedly white. Oh, the controversy! Soups can be ordered in up to four sizes, even Xe Lua. The service is excellent and their house made chili oil is their best kept secret. Ask for the chili oil, it is complimentary and I cannot even figure out the ingredients. Fresh chili and lemongrass? I cannot wait to try their baby clam specialty dish.

This place rules! I've had the pho, other noodle soups, boba, a couple different appetizers, the vermicelli bowls and broken rice dishes and they have all been amazing. My fiance, who isn't particularly big on Vietnamese food, actually asked if we could order it again for take out recently. That says a lot. I just recently tried the Mi Quang noodle soup and it was great. Definitely suggest that one. Also order the taro boba smoothie and add lychee jelly with the boba. It's my obsession. Go! Eat there now!

Didn't expect this place to be cozy and trendy looking. Definitely has an interior appeal. The service was good... our server actually approached us twice after our meal was served... which is rare for asian restaurants. the pho was PHONTASTIC! they had fresh and milk teas, which other pho places don't have. the price wasn't that expensive. I couldn't really say any bad things about this place. It even had TVs which was even makes the dining experience much better. It would be nice if they had lunch specials just to make it more appealing. I'd definitely would take out-of-towners to this pho spot.

3rd day in a row, although we've been here over 25 times. Pho is really great. I get half meatball, half rare beef. We've also had the vermicelli salad (get the egg rolls on the side so they do not get soggy) service is always very good. Usually pretty busy. The expanded within the last year to handle the crowds.

I literally crave the pho here. Any time I am having a bad day or not feeling well, I immediately feel the need to get some warm pho from Tasty Pho. The broth in the pho has a deep rich color and the flavoring is so delicious. I have to admit that if I brought my Vietnamese mother here she would likely snub her nose up at the small amount of oil floating at the top of the broth. To her, the perfect pho broth will be completely clear because she would have spent hours over the hot stove lovingly scooping out all the impurities. While I would never admit this to her, the small spattering of fat from the beef bones actually gives it a bolder, tastier flavor. This is the best pho restaurant in the Bay area. The only time I have had better pho was in my momma's kitchen. The 5 stars is reserved for her :) The restaurant is clean, modern, and trendy. It is also expanding rapidly which makes me believe that others like it too.

Tasty Pho might as well hire a pharmacist because it is my 'go-to' when I'm coming down with the sniffles. At the - first - sign of a cold I head directly to this place and get a bowl of Pho, load in the hoisin and Sriracha and let the phytonutrients (or was that capsaicin) go to work. There's a hint of old school in me and I tend to gravitate to things that I know and things that I like. I'm also a Taurus but that may or may not be important at this time. Regardless, I always go for the meatball beef Pho and have never been disappointed. The aroma, the piping hot serving temperature and the consistency of the noodles are superb and satisfying. As other reviews have mentioned, the large is huge so go easy with it and select the original size.

Located in the middle of the plaza, the place didnt seem much from the outside but I was pleasantly surprised with the indoor decor and space. Good for groups. Friendly and fast service. Price is reasonable. Not particularly thrilled about the pho tho. The broth was good, but the noodles were clumped and harden together. Portion was less than what I'm typically used to in Atlanta.

Slow service. I pointed to a picture of a drink on the menu and asked the server what it was. He said he didn't know.. Lol. Ok? You work here... I asked for a Vietnamese coffee to-go and I see it sitting on the counter for at least 5 minutes in a for-here cup. Still waiting for my sandwich... Hungry... Tick tock... Sigh.. Ok my sandwich is now here and it's actually really good. Very crunchy and flavorful. I suppose it's worth the wait. 4 stars for the food/drinks.

I recently started trying more Vietnamese joints and most have been pretty decent but this place stands out. Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the differences between all of the dishes and recommending house favorites. I ordered the rare beef pho and added Siracha and hoisin sauce to the broth and it was near perfect. My wife had the seafood pho which had fresh squid, shrimp and fish and she loved it. Will be back again.

This was my second time eating here. The first time, I liked what I had. However, my fiancé and I had a bad experience here tonight and I don't think we will be back. We live close by and decided to phone in a pick up order. I got banh mi and spring rolls while he ordered the lemongrass chicken with rice. They didn't confirm the order or take his name, but told us to pick up the order in 10 minutes. We arrived about 12 minutes later and the food wasn't ready. They also made a beef dish rather than a chicken dish for my fiancé. They began to correct the order, however, the employees kept trying to point the finger at blaming someone for the mistake. Very unprofessional. Another customer came in to pick up his order and they also did not take his name. The ordering process is overall very unorganized. Mind you, there were only 3 tables with customers dining in, so they were not slammed. When we were leaving, we made sure the order was correct. When we got home, the food left something to be desired. My fiancé's lemongrass chicken was over the top spicy and tasted nothing like lemongrass. The rice, however, was very good. I got the tofu banh mi which was flavored okay, but I've had better at other Vietnamese places. Overall, the food was okay, but didn't compare to some of the other good Vietnamese places in Pinellas Park. I may consider returning if the service improves, but until then, I will continue to visit the other great Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

I've only been here a couple of times for lunch during the weekday. The first time, I was The group of people and had a good experience then. My second time, I was there on my own and had a grilled beef bahn mì and Thai milk tea. The ambience is comfortable and casual. Good food and experience so far.

Don't expect quick service here. We've been sitting for 10 minutes and no one has taken our drink order or food order yet. One server spent 10 minutes just talking to one of his tables. Really? Break up the chit chat. A table. And in 10 minutes after us and they already have their drinks and order was taken. That would be a shame.....wow finally! Order taken! We ordered spring rolls to start....they are huge! We were shocked! We've never seen spring rolls this plump and long before. Of course with the traditional peanut sauce, we gobbled these babies up! I ordered just the basic Pho, large bowl. I'm not a fan of the tendons and tripe, so I stick with the noodles and the meat. My fiancé had another noodle soup dish. Our meals arrived and wow this bowl is huge! But I was hungry! Broth was perfect! Bursting with bold flavor, but of course I do like to add the Sriracha and hoisin. The meat was tender and just lovely flavors. I finished and still had a hefty amount of broth to enjoy. Just felt like I was cheated on by the serving portion in the large bowl. It felt more like a small bowl serving of meat & noodles in a big bowl of broth. It was still a good experience and will go back again, but will go for a smaller bowl next time. I hate having to leave all that broth behind

I'm glad I gave Tasty Pho a second chance. After posting my scathing review in April, I was contacted by Vincent, the owner of Tasty Pho, who asked me to tell him in detail about the problems I had at his restaurant. He told me that he had already dealt with the personnel issue and asked if I would return and give them a second chance to show how they usually operate. I'm very glad that I did. The meal was outstanding and the service was great. Vincent was there, too, and made sure that everything went smoothly. I had the baby clams with vermicelli and a unique anchovy-based sauce. The combination of flavors was unusual and very interesting. The egg rolls were the thin skinned crispy type and were very good. The coconut Boba tea rounded off the meal quite nicely. All in all, I now have a totally different opinion of Tasty Pho and will definitely return and recommend it to my friends. Thanks, Vincent!

I'm updating to 4 stars because this time around their veggie pho was spot on. The broth was incredibly hot-just how pho broth is suppose to be. The noodles were great and the assortment of veggies were very fresh. And you can't beat the $7 price tag.

I recently had dinner with my family, 13 of us total, and I inadvertently added tip that was already included in the bill due to large party. I contacted the owner and they immediately remedied my error. My family and I enjoyed our appetizers, entres, and après menu; very authentic Vietnamese food. Great food and great staff. Mr. and Mrs. Tran, thank you for your hospitality.

Tried it out from a recommendation and it's honestly the best pho in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the very nice interior, so I was holding out my five stars until I got my food. We ordered the Tasty Pho and the "Beef stew" which is not on the menu. THE FOOD IS AWESOME! and to top it off, everything was $25! That's probably the best price I've seen this far! I will definitely be coming back!

Tasty broth and probably my favorite pho in Tampa so far. It's nice and clean inside and Friendly service. They do have bubble tea which is a plus. And for all you foodies out there they have a pho challenge but that bowl is equivalent to 3 large bowls. Don't know if I have enough guts to try that. I would frequent this place if I lived closer.

Compliment: Their Pho is really tasty especially on a RAINY DAY. However there are a few issues with this restaurant. Issues: 1.) There are a bunch of kids working and they do not listen to what you have to say especially when it comes to separating checks on larger groups (in our case party of 8). We told them 3 times how to separate the checks and they still ended up putting it all on one+charging one person. 2.) Asian people get their food first. We observed this each time with people sitting around us and they (Asians) got their food first. Some of them came in after us and ended up finishing their food before we got ours. Not cool!!! We pointed this out to our server and he stated that "they ordered first". That is not correct as we sat right next to them and we saw what happened. 3.) They take forever to bring your food out, not to mention if you need extra napkins or utensils. 4.) We asked for our check at the end and the server came back about 10 minutes later asking us "if everything was ok" and of course NO check. They do not listen. 5.) They do not clear the table of old plates until after you leave. Everything just sits there while you are trying to have a conversation. I am talking about big Pho plates, glasses....etc. When you walk in, you will notice plates just sitting at empty tables. 6.) Since our group sat at two different tables, one table got their food before the other and we just sat there for another 20 minutes watching them eat. Weird! 7.) We requested the room in the back and the server said that the chairs were broken. Ok?! Overall, we like the Pho but this place needs better management and organization.

The service was terrible. I don't know who our waiter was. Our food took 45 minutes to come to the table. It was cold when we started to eat and they are overpriced. I spent $10 more than I usually do at other Vietnamese restaurants and I got the same exact dish. The food tasted okay, but not worth the wait or the price.

I'm a big fan of pho and crave it constantly so I'm always looking for places to get good pho wherever I am. I have a favorite place in Tampa and Orlando, but none in St. Pete so I decided to give this place a try after randomly driving by. The restaurant is clean and modern and staff is very friendly and attentive. There is no language barrier as the staff was fluent in English. We had the pho and (BBH) bun bo hue on a Sunday evening and we were very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. The pho was some of the best pho I've had. The BBH was also some of the best my girlfriend has ever had. I'm very happy to have found a new place on this side of town for pho. I totally see myself as a regular here.

I CAN SMELL THIS PLACE FROM OUTSIDE The smell of flavorful Vietnamese broth totally slapped my nose as soon as I exited my car. The Pho and other Soups definitely seem a little more flavorful than other similar Vietnamese Restaurants--I think they add more than normal Spices. My Combo Tapioca Noodle featured fat, see-through Noodles with a great chewy texture that went well against the thin slices of Pork. I just wish there were more Noodles. The broth was similar to Pho but also containing a Quail Egg, some Shrimp, and Ground Meat. Their Spring Rolls contain more Lettuce than I'd prefer (Lettuce flavor drowns out other flavors) but between that and the Meals everything looked and felt very Fresh. MAYBE NOT AS AUTHENTIC I judge Vietnamese Restaurants on the number of Vietnamese eating there--barely any during the busy times. While the flavors are much stronger here than the more authentic Pho Kien Gang nearby, I would definitely still return here despite the little wanderings from authenticity. The packed tables of a diverse crowd show the community's love for this type of comfort food. SERVICE Although the staff has been very smiley, they can also be very slow. The first time it took me 5 minutes of making eye contact with various employees before one actually greeted me and sat me at a table. This narrow restaurant forces all the staff somehow avoid running into each other (and us) as they do their duties.

I had been hearing from my friends about this place since it opened and finally was able to check it out. I had heard the same from a couple of people - the food was ok but the prices were too high. Inside the interior was new-looking and clean and a little bit smarter looking than your typical Vietnamese restaurant. The service was standard and attentive. Ordered the Bánh Khot Shrimp Pancake and I was immediately smitten and already looking forward to eating this again soon. Ordered the regular sized Tasty Pho and Pho Nam and I was impressed with the size. For only $6.99 you a huge bowl full of lots of meat and a big ole plate of fresh greens to go with it. I can't imagine how big the large sized bowl is?!! So for the clean interior, big bowls of fresh meaty pho - I would say that this is a great place to check out.

I found this place through yelp's high ravings. Boy was I disappointed. It wasn't horrible, but it is far from perfect. Ordering was a challenge; the server had no idea what is what on the menu and asked me about the items when I should be asking her. Haha At least train the servers to memorize or familiarize the menu! The server was so clueless. Food and drinks took a while to come out. I ordered Vietnamese coffee, Banh Bot Loc (dumplings) and tasty pho. The dumplings are probably the worst dumplings I've ever eaten. They were nowhere near fresh. Traditionally, they would be wrapped and steamed in leaves, but these do not have the color nor flavor from the leaves. And filling inside were awful. The dipping sauce that it comes with did nothing for the dumplings. The tasty pho was okay. It's decent. I like the broth; it was much sweeter than most places. The vietnamese coffee was good. Can't complain there. Overall, food was okay, but there is more than just food. Service takes a big part of an experience. On the way out we asked for a togo cup and the server was clueless and had the wtf look on her face. If we don't finish, we would like to take it home. She had to ask another server about a cup. She didn't know what to do and wanted to take our drink back to the back. When we just wanted to take it and pour it in. We gave up and just left.

I really enjoyed my stop here on a cold rainy night. I started with an order of egg rolls and spring rolls. I loved loved loved the egg rolls. They were truly a fried delight. The spring rolls were disappointing especially after the egg rolls. The rolls were a bit tough and the pork was fatty. I also did not care for the peanut sauce. It had a strange consistency and not much flavor. Now for the Pho, it was indeed tasty pho. I am not sure it is my favorite but I certainly is worth a repeat visit. There is certainly something magical about a steaming bowl of broth and noodles. I got the rare beef pho as that is my standard first visit dish. The bowl full of broth and noodles smelled so good and tasted pretty delightful as well. I was a little sad when I found the noodles clumped together at the bottom of the bowl. Thankfully the noodles separated and had the right consistency. I had the regular bowl and was unable to finish it but I will certainly be getting a big bowl next time. The decor was very appealing and the place was very clean. They had several TVs and even had a hockey game on. I can't wait to taste some of the other dishes next time.

My husband and I planned to go to another Vietnamese restaurant but it was closed. Did a yelp search and saw this place had good ratings. I have to say, the pho was REALLY tasty! Honestly the best pho I've had in the area. The broth was perfect. I normally spice it up and add hoisin sauce. But it was so good I didn't even want to. I seriously can't wait to go back and try more on the menu.

Excellent lunch. Helpful attentive service. Spring rolls were large and fresh. Noodle salad was tasty. Seafood pho was full calamari and shrimp and fish cake. Clean pleasant dining room. My first Vietnamese food experience. Can't wait to return.

Located in a small strip mall off of Park Blvd. Don't let the outside fool you! The interior is well decorated and clean! Their menu is very diverse and I saw some items on there that I don't normally see at other Vietnamese restaurants. I ordered the bun rieu (#48), my husband had the bun thap cam (#38) and my son had com tam suon nuong (# 42). I thought all of our orders were very tasty! The noodles in my dish and my husband's were fresh and my son's pork chop was flavorful. Prensentation was nice also. Our server was very friendly and brought out all the appropriate condiments for our dishes, as well as suggesting other condiments we might like (shrimp paste and chili oil for me!). The vegetables for my noodle soup dish were very fresh also! No brown edges on my bean sprouts! Overall, I thought the place was great and will definitely be back to try some other dishes!

Highly recommend. My wife had a very good bowl of pho, I rank the Pho at 7.5 chop sticks, (10 is Pho 54 in Orange County, California). Rich in flavor, fresh vegetables and noodles not overcooked. I had broken rice, can we say awesome?! Service was very polite and quick.

Love this place. I always wanted to try this place out and it wasn't open yet. I decided to finally go and it must have been opening day. I waited almost an hour for my food. But that was just one small disappointment in an otherwise great eat out spot. I've been back multiple times since and have brought everyone from friends, fiancé and parents. The pho is spot on. My places I've been to have had overly sweet broth, this is a savory blend that is perfect. I love their bahn mi's; nice crispy bread and spicy veggies are the perfect compliment to their many meats. My fiance and parents have had the vermicelli salad and did not complain; although the house 'dressing' seemed to have a little too much fish sauce and therefore we neglected to use it, just hoisen. Their spring rolls are good and the peanut dipping sauce it very tasty without just being peanut butter on the side.

This is my go-to place after a workout. A few of you buff heads may be thinking "whoa... don't you want MEAT instead?" Heck no--send me my comforting bowl of Pho. I almost always get the Beef Combo. My nose gets assaulted by the complicated mess of spices steaming up. I assault it back by digging my chopsticks in and yanking hunks of soft, chewy meat that practically melts on my tongue (hehe my tongue is magic). The noodles are slightly springy but contain enough chewiness to complement the meat. I get so freaking stuffed so fast. Their others stuff is pretty good too. Their vermicelli bowls have a good ratio of meats and veggies with just enough fried eggroll. Overall Tasty Pho is more similar to nearby Long Phung in its flavor assault and prices than other local Pho places. My only beef (besides the stuff in that delicious pho bowl haw haw) is the service can sometimes be ignorant. Even if it's not busy you can try to get their attention and they totally pass you--especially if you're waiting to get seated. But once you have their attention they're nothing but toothy grins.

We visited on a Friday night and both of is had the tasty pho. The broth is a little sweeter than other places, but it is delicious. We started with the shrimp rolls, and I would not recommend those. Overall it was a nice experience and we will be back.

I may have found Pho-Nirvana!! I came during a cloud burst from the gods, typical Florida late afternoon drencher. As I found my way to the table I actually got a chill from the air conditioner seeing that I was soaked. I was dinning alone tonight. My Bride having had a very late lunch. So I took the opportunity to try a new ( to me ) Vietnamese Restaurant,Tasty Pho. It's located on the NW corner of 49th Street and Park Blvd. in a strip mall. The service is like most Vietnamese restaurants, very good. I ordered my usual Pho with rare sliced beef, and their house special fried rice. When my Pho was served it was piping hot. I could actually see the rare beef cooking in the hot Pho goodness. As I was chilled, I started slurping down my steamy soup, ahhhh. So good, warmed me right up. The Pho here has the regular accoutrements, basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes. But they top off the Pho with sliced onions, chopped spring onions, and cilantro, for added flavor. The house rice was delicious with shrimp, beef, pork, and sweet sausage. The establishment itself is very clean and modern with several flat screen TV's, the bath rooms were immaculate. Their menus are very unique in as such that they explain where the foods originate, either from the North, Central, or Southern regions of Vietnam. They explain the dishes very clearly too. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurants, they had their condiments in porcelain jars printed descriptively. The servers are very cordial and informative. Tasty Pho is the 4th different Vietnamese Restaurant that I've tried. So far I'd say its the best one.

We wanted to try this place after hearing many friends say how good it was. I have a seafood allergy and my date is a vegetarian, so we did not know what we were in for. I called ahead to make sure there were options for somebody with a seafood allergy and they assured me there was. We walked in on a Friday night to find them somewhat busy, but not bad. The place is sit down style rather than fast food. Our server took great time with us explaining what we could and could not have. I had more options than she did, but we both found food that we could enjoy. I decided to go with the chicken fried rice and she went with the tofu banh mi sandwich. Most of the soups were beef or pork based so that left less options for a vegetarian. Our food arrived quickly and the flavor was great. I found their fried rice to be lighter than most and was very tasty. Her sandwich was very flavorful as well. Both dishes were very reasonably priced and the service was great. I could not ask for much more.

Despite mixed reviews from friends that don't post on yelp (lucky for the restaurant!), we actually liked it here! It's refreshing to eat Viet food in a clean setting and atmosphere. Service was excellent. We had appetizers: banh beo and banh canh? I think that's what it's called. Flour based crepe-like treats eaten with nuoc mam sauce. You can't really find these in normal viet restaurants so A+ for being unique! The bf had mi quang (sp?), a soup based noodle dish. He liked it although noodles were a bit al dente compared to the viet restaurant down the road. I had noodles and egg rolls. Can't go wrong w that. No complaints. We had avocado bubble tea with boba. Tasted great. We ordered 4 banh mi sandwiches to go. Half thit nuong grilled pork and other half classic dac biet combination sandwiches. These tasted great the next day for lunch - unique taste compared to other places. I think they add some sort of sweet spread to them. All in all - will def come back. -written on my iphone so excuse any grammar/spelling mistakes.

So far best vietnamese I've had in St. Petersburg area. the Pho was very good. The pho broth is that perfect golden amber color and tastes sweet and amazing. the Thai basil and sprouts that are served with the Pho are fresh and crispy. They have a large menu from shrimp pancakes, egg rolls, to banh mi and Halo-Halo dessert Also a whole separate picture menu! The service was excellent the waiter checked on us many times and water never went empty and a fairly busy night. I can't wait to go back again.

We all agree that it's worth coming back each time for our Friday lunch. The atmosphere is slick with good modern art decorations. This review also is getting me 10% off of my entire meal! My problem not about workers and food.My problem is their business concept. Dont go when they are busy because there were just 2 server for serving for all restaurant. I wait 36 min for pho soup and they bring me wrong soup and after they kindly changed but they forgot to ask me to which size of soup I want, they bring me regular size (it was warm not hot) instead of large size, after that soup (it was really small portion ) I ordered one more regular soup because it was not enough. I want check and they charged me 2 soup.. I was expecting more kindly business concept after check when I told them their mistake they offer me 2 dollar back it was funny... Im sorry but hire moree people for better business... We came there for fun but when we were leaving we were pissed...

I felt compelled to write this review - it seems like some customers are giving this place a bad rap. Decor - this place is very nice looking inside - much nicer than you would expect from the outside. I thought it was very well done without being too frilly or too plain. Appetizers - my husband and I had summer rolls and the shrimp pancakes. Both were delicious and were exactly what I remember getting in Vietnam (I lived in Cambodia for 3 years and had weekly business trips to Ho Chi Minh City - I've eaten a lot f Vietnamese food that no one can argue is inauthentic!). Dinner - I had grilled shrimp vermicelli and my husband had beef vermicelli. Again, both were very good. Service - this was a high point. We were greeted and seated the instant we walked in the door, with menus. Our waitress brought water quickly and took our order. Everything was delivered and cleared in a timely fashion. Overall, I would say the service was quite good, and I certainly had no complaints.

I love this place! The pho broth is amazing, rare beef is cut so thin and the regular bowl is large and the large bowl is huge! The grilled chicken, beef and pork banh mi's are yummy and the assortment of boba is amazing. The decor is modern and clean, the waitstaff is friendly and the service is fast. I live a block from Bayshore Blvd and drive all the way to Tasty Pho. Can't wait to go back!

The storefront is deceiving, this is Vietman. My experience at this place has always been top rated. The Pho is excellent and my wife has fallen in love with the anchovie soup. I have my go to favorite, roasted pork bun. Delicious flavor crossing a pork chop and bacon in the traditional bun salad noodles and herbs. We have been 7 or 8 times, each of the servers have been attentive and helpful in suggesting items we might not have tried without prompting. The shrimp pancakes as an example. Extra thanks to Adam for asking us to post here. Prices are very reasonable, you don't walk away overly stuffed and uncomfortable. You will leave satisfied and happy.

  • Thomas P.

3 stars - I stopped in to get some food to go. I got the grilled pork and bun noodles (one of my favs!) and a cold cut banh mi sandwich. The grilled pork had great flavor and the bun was tasty. I would have liked a more pungent nouc mam sauce but that is minor. The banh mi was good too and my only complaint was the cucumbers were sliced so thin I didn't think they were even there! This is a new restaurant, having only been open a week at the time of this review so it is unfortunate that the yelpers before me had to wait. 10-12 minutes in and out for me, I had a few minutes to talk to the workers who seemed to be on top of things. There was a good mix of people and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. I would say that the prices were about average on a lot of the menu items with the exception of a few main items where you may be paying 50 cents to a dollar more than other places in the area but no biggie. Pho is the name of the game (and the restaurant) here and it is slightly more for a large bowl. I will definitely be back to give it a try! The decor was nice with some flat screens showing ESPN and some soothing music in the background.

I've been to almost every noodle shop in Pinellas county, looking for a pho broth that can match or best a certain establishment in Tampa. I think that I may have found it. They offer two sizes of bowl. The regular/small size is larger than a regular portion at most establishments. There were plenty of rice noodles and a pleasing amount of chopped cilantro and scallions in the bowl. The Pho Nam (flank) was a chewy beefy delight. Most important, the broth was fragrant and delicious. I was even more pleased by the meatball ban mi. It's a ground pork meatball, reminiscent of Italian or European cooking, served on a toasted baguette with fresh cucumbers, pickled carrots and cilantro. This sandwich has been one of my all time favorite foods but I was so happy to find how well Tasty Pho have executed. It is THE BEST!

Dined with a group of seven and LOVED this place! Very clean and nicely furnished. The waitstaff did an excellent job recommending and describing dishes for a range of desires: non-gluten, vegetarian, spicy, etc. Try to ignore the location in the shopping center, if they were downtown you wouldn't be able to get a seat! Each dish came with special sauces and fresh herbs to add and enhance the flavor. The owner came to welcome us and a wonderful experience was had by all.

The food was OK (hence 2 stars), but the service was terrible for me and my wife. The place was busy during lunch on a Saturday. They gave us the worst table in the restaurant, which is a corner table right next to the front door that faces away from the restaurant. There was plenty of space in the back but they did not offer to seat us there. It took them about 10-15 minutes before the waiter came to our table to take our order. We ordered two appetizers and two pho bowls. The only few times the waiter came to our table was to give us the appetizers, pho and check. We had no chopsticks/napkins/spoon until after the soup came out (we had to eat our appetizers with our hands). I went to the bathroom to get paper towels to use as napkins, and I also had to get up and walk a couple times to refill our water glasses. I wasn't going to leave a tip but my wife thought it would be too rude to do so. I might go back again but I'm not sure. If you decide to eat here, try not to sit at the very front corner table because they might ignore you like they did for us.

I have been to this restaurant twice now and after my first time would recommend to others, but after my last experience this evening I will probably never go back. First, we were seated and our order was taken. The waitress seemed like she didn't understand our orders and we had to repeat a couple of times before she finally got it. Then, the trouble started. Next to us there was a couple seated who were obviously unhappy with their meal. I wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, since I had been there before. Then, my entree came out before my appetizer. Strange, but I can deal with that. Next, my boyfriend's drink came out. About 5 minutes later my drink came out. It seems like they only have one blender, which makes no sense because they specialize in smoothie drinks. After about 20+ minutes of eating, my boyfriend's food still did not come out. A manager filled up our water and apologized that my boyfriend's food had been given to another table. (The other table arrived much later than us.) When my boyfriend's food finally arrived, it was not what he ordered. The manager said that he had been given a more expensive meal and to compensate would charge him the original price of what he actually ordered. So instead of compensating for the delay and mistake, he gives us $2 off the order? I understand that this is a brand new business, but proper restaurant etiquette is to comp your customers in some way when you mess up their order or make them wait so long for their food. I heard the waiters apologize to every other customer seated around us for the long wait.

This place is okay. I come here often because my parents love it here. The noodles are great, but it's pretty expensive here. The servers are getting better, and we're getting to know them. I'll be waiting for the day it gets less expensive.

My daughter and I stopped by there for a late lunch. We had never been there and thought we would give it a try. The service was EXCELLENT, our waitress helped us choose our dishes and the food was amazing. I had a fried rice dish and my daughter had one of the udon noodles soups. She got a #14 regular size bowl and it was huge, had to bring half of it home. I was so impressed with the way the soup was served. They bring you the bowl full of soup, scallions, noodles and meats with a side salad of fresh herbs, limes, jalapenos and bean sprouts to add to your soup. Her soup was fragrant and delicious. My fried rice dish was delicious, grilled chicken, pork, beef and shrimp with fresh cooked egg and veggies. Our waitress let me try a sample of Taro milk and I am so getting one next time we go. If you're looking for something along the lines of a healthier choice Tasty Pho is it.

Coming from Vegas with lots of pho options, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pho and food here. There large pho is large! Prices are very good, service was amazing, and nice decor. And The waitress she was very friendly :)

I cannot get enough of Tasty Pho! The rare beef Pho is my favorite and after eating it I only want more. I have had the spring rolls - amazing and my husband says the seafood Pho is fantastic too. I recommend you try this place because it is awesome.

We Suki Suki! Amazingly tasty Vietnamese food. The soup is flavored wonderfully and everything is super fresh. The variety of selections is good. The service is super friendly and it's a clean better than average Vietnamese restaurant.

I love pho! I like this new place because it's very clean, nice Asian theme decor, comfortable setting. The pho broth is very tasty and fresh. They do have a few beer selection and wine by the bottle.

This place when I entered was very busy and CLEAN! I ordered a barbecue chicken bahn mi and and the rare beef noodle pho (pho tai). I do believe I have found the place for pho. I left feeling very satisfied. I would say this place is pho king delicious.

Love this place. Everything is good, fresh and clean. Beef Pho is awesome and the pork bun is always fresh and delightful. Fried egg rolls are very tasty and Husband says even their little subs are great. We come at least once a week. Nice Decor, with TV's and a even a clean restroom.

We're frequent Pho'ers in the Tampa Bay area, been to about all of them and this one finally gets it right. Great pho around the area but you usually have to eat it in bright fluorescent lighting, on laminate tables with wobbly chairs surrounded by circa-1970-east-asian-decor, but not here. This place has the "modern day restaurant" feel, great ambiance (love the mini-chandeliers above the nicely upholstered and oversized booths), a full bar, awesome service, fast, and all with similar pricing to others in the area. Only thing I would like to see is wine by the glass...have to order a whole bottle if that's your drink ($20-$24 range) but you can cork it and take it to go so that's at least a plus. Glad we found this place, will definitely be back!

By far the best Pho I've had in Florida to date... This is my goto spot for Vietnamese... The shrimp & pork salad is also one of my favorites... I find that the regular portion is just fine...

Had beef pho and spring rolls. It was good but nothing out of this world. Also consider that there is only so lunch you can do with pho. It's either good or really bad... But this place was good. I did not have anything else here.

Stopped in for Travel Info and realized there was a restaurant so I decided to give it a try. Excellent service, great environment and the food was some of the best in Pinellas Park I've had

I now crave pho on a weekly basis from here! The restaurant is very new and bright. Service was attentive and efficient. The servings are huge for the pho, and come with all of the fresh, crisp garnishes. Delicious and we left with plenty of leftover soup and full bellies. Can't wait to return.

By far the best Pho I've had in Florida to date... This is my goto spot for Vietnamese... The shrimp & pork salad is also one of my favorites... I find that the regular portion is just fine...

Had beef pho and spring rolls. It was good but nothing out of this world. Also consider that there is only so lunch you can do with pho. It's either good or really bad... But this place was good. I did not have anything else here.

Stopped in for Travel Info and realized there was a restaurant so I decided to give it a try. Excellent service, great environment and the food was some of the best in Pinellas Park I've had
